About HydroHeat
We have taken great pride that for the past 25 years with thousands of HydroHeat installations that
have been keeping owners warm in the winter and cool in the summer. Providing indoor comfort at
substantial savings over alternative heating and air conditioning systems is what we do best. |
| Our employees are dedicated and committed to designing, engineering and building HydroHeat products to the highest standards. The process of building a state of the art geothermal product began by consulting with customers, service
technicians, and end users. We were the industry's first manufacturer to custom-insulate our tube-in-tube heat exchangers to prevent condensation from forming on the outer surfaces. We were the first in the industry to provide electric backup heat built into our HydroHeat unit as standard equipment. This provides homeowners with the reassurance that emergency heat is always available.
While geothermal heating and cooling may seem futuristic and a new technology, the basic principle has been in
use for nearly 50 years. One of HydroHeat's contributions to this technology has been to make servicing the
equipment easier than ever by installing diagnostic troubleshooting status lights, another industry first.

Can Do
Spirit
HydroHeat’s can-do spirit has led to many innovations which are aimed at providing proven products that afford the
consumer with the ultimate in comfort and maximum energy savings. The HydroHeat Dual Fuel geothermal furnace and air conditioner
is another example of the can-do spirit. Inside each HydroHeat Dual Fuel unit is a patented, multipurpose heat exchanger designed
by our engineers to transfer geothermal energy or fossil fuel energy to the conditioned space. This unique concept allows the end user
to choose between geothermal energy or fossil fuel such as natural gas, propane, or fuel oil, as the primary or backup energy source.
Just like the large industrial user, the homeowner has the option of selecting between two energy sources for space heating and domestic
water heating: geothermal or fossil fuel. By a simple switch selection for the desired energy provider, the homeowner is provided with
insurance against possible shortages, seasonal price increases, or curtailment. |

A
Step Ahead Of The Rest
Our passion to build the best quality product does not stop with the fit and finish,
but includes a desire to provide the ultimate in comfort and performance. Our Mega-Tek series has set new industry standards.
The Mega-Tek broke the performance barrier in heating by registering a COP of 4. This means that the Mega-Tek actually produces
4 times more heat output than the energy it consumes. Compare that against a high efficiency gas furnace with an efficiency rating of 90+%.
The Mega-Tek has a whopping 400% efficiency rating. |
 |
| Hailed as the most significant advancement in heating and air conditioning appliances in the last decade, the Mega-Tek has many
energy saving features and technologically advanced components that it is in a class by itself. The HydroHeat Mega-Tek
incorporates 5 patents in its components and design, and has set new industry standards, raising the bar for performance
and comfort for all other manufacturers. What makes the Mega-Tek so remarkable is that this single appliance is able to serve
four (4) different functions: air conditioning and dehumidification, forced air heating, hydronic heating, and domestic water heating.
At the heart of the system is a mini-computer that will examine the process inputs at preprogrammed intervals (once every second),
and execute the control algorithm for the system output functions. This on-board intelligence ensures that the Mega-Tek will optimize
energy savings while detecting any abnormal operation that could cause a system malfunction. |

What makes our pioneering heritage most famous, in addition to all this innovation and dedication to quality, is our exclusive, "On-Demand,"
integrated domestic water heating technology. HydroHeat’s patented "On-Demand" hot water system is an industry exclusive, offered
only on HydroHeat products.
The single most important
advantage of the HydroHeat patented "On-Demand" hot water system is its annual
operating cost savings over a conventional Desuperheater system. On a national
average, a partial water heating system, or Desuperheater, can reduce your
electric water heating bill by about 21%, or only $105 of an annual $500 water
heating bill as compared to the HydroHeat "On-Demand" system of 60% or $300 per
year.
